Founded in 2012 by brother–sister duo Kat and Troy, Street Dance Studios has grown into Australia’s leading Performing Hip Hop Studio. Kat and Troy are also the directors of Superhoodz, Australia’s most active professional hip hop crew, and Hoodz Entertainment, a performance company delivering entertainment at NBL, WNBL, and NBL1 games, as well as major corporate and community events.

SDS was built to create pathways — from kids taking their very first class to dancers training in professional crews. With Recreational Classes for beginners and Performance Crews for those ready to step up, our studio has become Melbourne’s home for dancers who want more than just a class — they want to perform. Through Hoodz Entertainment, our dancers don’t just train for opportunities, they perform in them.

Performance Crews
SDS is home to some of Australia’s most recognised Performance Crews, led by our flagship Superhoodz. Our crews create a clear pathway for dancers — from developing their skills to performing at a professional level. Training weekly and appearing at basketball games, major events, and showcases, placements are by audition for dancers ready to step into the spotlight.
SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Our SDS Schools Program brings hip hop directly into classrooms across Melbourne. We’ve created specialised workshops and programs that build confidence, creativity, and teamwork through dance. Whether it’s a one-off incursion or a full-term program, our team will get your students moving.
SUPERHOODZ CREW
Superhoodz are one of Australia’s most recognised Hip Hop crews — best known as 2012 Australia’s Got Talent semi-finalists and as the official dancers for Melbourne United (NBL).
Founded in 2008, Superhoodz have won major hip hop competitions and toured internationally with their high-energy, crowd-engaging shows.
At Street Dance Studios, many of our teachers and choreographers are current Superhoodz members — so students are learning directly from dancers who perform on some of the biggest stages in the country.
